Storytelling is at the heart of what I do.

I see photography not as the utilitarian documentation of faces or moments, but as an attempt to express individual stories in images. It feels a bit like giving something back to the people I’m photographing—I get to show what I see in them after they’ve allowed me to see into their personalities, most significant relationships, and milestones. My hope is to “image” the people around me in a way that displays truth about them that’s more than mere fact.
